The Children’s Book Council of Australia has been celebrating Book Week since its establishment in 1945, with the aim to encourage children of all ages to come together and celebrate books of high literary and artistic quality. This years theme is Book Your Own Adventure. The CBCA official Book Week dates usually go through to the end of August each year, however schools across Australia are seen coming together and celebrating literature the whole month of August.
